New Commercial Service
VEC member-owners consist not only of our residential customers, but our commercial and industrial customers as well.
The new service procedure for commercial and industrial customers is similar to the residential process. However, to ensure that the electric service provided to your business is adequate, it is best to schedule a meeting with VEC representatives to discuss your electric needs and a projected schedule. The topics that could be covered include the size of service required, outdoor lighting needs, and special requests. It is important to keep in close contact with your local VEC office so that power is available to your new business when you need it.
It is helpful if you provide a list of equipment that will be housed in your business, along with motor sizing information; this provides us valuable information regarding the installation of power facilities at your site.
Typically, medium or larger commercial/industrial customers sign a VEC power contract based on the electric demand (KW) of the facility.
