Crews to Resume Pole Inspections
Contract crews will resume VEC’s annual pole inspection program beginning February 16.
Areas scheduled for inspection include:
- Hopewell 364 – Rabbit Valley Road, Harrison Pike – Approximately 1,600 poles
- Goodfield 224 – Industrial Park – Approximately 100 poles
- Campbell Junction 224 – Plateau Road N – Approximately 150 poles
- Fairfield Glade 344 – Westchester, Dorchester – Approximately 1,350 poles
- Lantana 314 – Lantana Road – Approximately 1,300 poles
- Jamestown 324 – Highway 127 S – Approximately 2,400 poles
- Jamestown 354 – Highway 52 W – Approximately 1,800 poles
VEC be inspecting approximately 8,700 poles this year.
The inspectors plan to start on Monday, February 16, in the Hopewell area of Bradley County.
Southeast Woodland will be the contractor again this year for our pole inspection program. They will have 2 or 3 crews consisting of 5 to 6 Hispanic gentlemen working in each crew. They will have pickup trucks with VEC Contractor signs and possibly ATV four wheelers.
