Hutsell Named Decatur Service Area Manager

Greg Hutsell was recently named area manager for Volunteer Energy Cooperative’s (VEC) Decatur Service Area. For the past 10 years, Greg was the Superintendent of Safety and Construction. Prior to his career with VEC, he served as the Safety Coordinator for the Electric Power Board in Chattanooga. He began his career in the power industry with Athens, TN Utility Board where he held various positions during his 28 plus years of service. Greg is a Certified Safety Coordinator and is currently completing his Power Supervisor Certification with Tennessee Valley Public Power Association (TVPPA).

When asked about his new position, Greg said, “I am excited about this new opportunity. I am looking forward to working with the service men and women of the Spring City and Decatur offices, as well as the members in our area.”

Greg replaced Roger Carpenter who retired this past April.
