VEC Plans Outage for System Upgrades

Some Volunteer Energy Cooperative members in Polk County will experience a power outage from about 9:30 a.m. to about 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 11. The outage is required to allow VEC crews to upgrade the system to 25 kV service which will increase system reliability and reduce outages.

 

Areas affected will include Highway 64, Old Federal, Reynolds Bridge, Hildbrand, Smyrna, Crews Drive, Stump Street, Adams, Lowery, Shiloh Church, Ocoee Circle, Cookson Creek, Sloan Gap, Bullins, Welcome Valley, Hooker, Roblyer, Hawkins, Casson, Mountain View Circle, White Water Run, Copeland, Sand Mountain, Deer Ridge Trail, Lexie Lane, Ocoee Ridge Subdivision, and Ocoee Mountain Club.
